TWO men are setting out from Land's End next month on a 100-mile non-stop run for charity.
Steve Penna and Lloyd Marshall plan to run from Land's End to Okehampton. They will leave Land's End on February 17 at noon and aim to reach Okehampton the next day.
The two charities the men are supporting are Sense, the national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind, and Asthma UK.
To help support their venture the pair have a number of fundraising events planned as follows:
February 11 — they will be at Red Lion Yard from 8am to 2pm, looking for sponsorship and they would like any unwanted Christmas gifts and donations for raffle/auction to be left with them on the day.
February 25 — at 8pm there will be an auction night at the Copper Key Inn at North Tawton.?Among some of the items already donated are an England World Cup winner's signed shirt, aWasps RFC signed shirt, an Exeter Chiefs RFC signed ball, golf away days, skip hire from ASAP Skips, and many other items.
There will also be a raffle, hog roast and music on the night.
All are welcome to come along to what promises to be a great evening.
