OKEHAMPTON Medical Centre has announced a series of flu clinics for vulnerable people in October.
Patients over the age of 65 are eligible for a free flu vaccination on the NHS. The centre is also encouraging all patients under 65, who have chronic illness such as heart failure, diabetes, respiratory problems, or are immuno-suppressed, to have a flu vaccination.
Vaccines are also available for carers.
There will be bookable appointments available for flu jabs at the medical centre on each of the four Saturdays in October: October 5, 12, 19 and 26.
There will also be four village hall flu clinics for those in outlying communities.
On Tuesday, October 15 there will be a clinic at Sourton. On Tuesday, October 22 there will be one at Exbourne Village Hall, while on Tuesday, October 29 the clinic will visit South Zeal.
On Tuesday, November 5 it will visit Belstone. The clinics will be held from 2pm to 4pm on each of these dates.
