KEEN swimmers can enjoy a dip in the Parklands Leisure Centre pool for just £1 over the Easter weekend.

The offer is available from Good Friday to Easter Monday, and on Easter Sunday the centre will be hosting activities for children, including face-painting and an Easter egg treasure hunt.

Jon Smith, contract manager at Parklands, said: 'This is an exciting opportunity for the local community.

'We feel that it is really important to get the local community active, and we hope that the £1 swimming offer is a great way to make the most of the Easter weekend.

'Similarly, we hope that the extra Easter activities at Parklands will help keep the kids entertained.

'The Easter egg hunt promises to be great fun and I'm sure both children and adults alike will thoroughly enjoy themselves.'
