FOLLOWING a busy summer at Okehampton Community Garden, the steering group held an autumnal working party recently.

Members of all ages joined forces to mow the grass, weed growing areas and mulch around the polytunnel. The chickens enjoyed the additional company, with some of the children helping to clean out the coop, collect eggs and just generally ‘chatting’ with the hens.

The steering group expressed thanks to all of the kind visitors that have donated plants or equipment and they look forward to another exciting year of developments at the garden.
