THERE is an opportunity to enjoy a coffee and a chat in the garden of the Ockment Centre in Okehampton this weekend — and raise money for a good cause at the same time.

North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team will be holding a coffee morning at the centre with a cake stall and raffle from 10am to 12.30pm this Saturday, July 10.

Members of the team will be there to talk to about the invaluable work they do in helping find lost, missing and injured people on Dartmoor or in the surrounding area.

There will also be a continual slide show of the stunning Dartmoor landscape.

The North Dartmmor Search and Rescue Team is an entirely voluntary organisation and is a registered charity. It is totally dependent on donations from the public.

Costing well in excess of £10,000 a year to maintain this organisation calls for a huge amount of fundraising and effort from the team members, so support from the public would be much appreciated.
