HOSPISCARE, the area's adult hospice which provides Okehampton community palliative specialist nurses, are holding a special coffee morning at the White Hart Hotel, Okehampton on Thursday, October 21.

Called 'Meet the Nurses and find out more about Hospiscare', the informal event will be held between 10.30pm and noon.

An invitation is extended to all Okehampton people who would like to hear about the difference Hospiscare makes to local people, meet the nurses and discover how they may be able to help the charity in the town.

Jill Voaden, the chair of Okehampton Friends of Hospiscare, said: 'For many years, our local nurses have given so much help to Okehampton patients and their families.

'Okehampton friends of Hospiscare is there to ensure that we can continue to do so. At the coffee morning, we will be able to show the wider, local community what we do and how they can help. Everybody will be welcome.'
