EMILY Colling flew the flag for the Mid Devon Pony Club at the Area Tetrathlon competition last weekend. The shoot and swim phases were held at the Dawlish leisure centre and the running and cross country ride at Bicton.
Former club member and Olympic hopeful, Georgina Geikie, had recently given the club's tetrathletes a coaching session and this was obviously a great success with Emily, who shot a wonderful personal best score of 940. This was the second best score in her class, only beaten by a girl who hit a maximum ten bulls out of ten.
With just one stop over Bicton's daunting X-C course, Emily did really well to finish in seventh place in the novice junior class.
