A YOUNG reader at Okehampton Library is setting the bar high, as he has now completed the Book Track Challenge.
Jake Butter has finished the challenge, reading 100 books from the library.
To recognise his reading prowess, Jake has received a certificate, badges, a £5 book token courtesy of the Friends of Okehampton Library, and his name has been added to the library's Book Track roll of honour.
Book Track is a scheme that challenges children aged six and over to read as many books as they can. Youngsters receive badges and stickers for hitting certain milestones, like ten, 25 and 50 books. The challenge is not a race or a test, merely a way to reward children for persuing their reading, especially in their local library.
