TWO of Okehampton's church ministers will give a talk on their visit to India on Thursday July 5.

The Rev Chris Bourne and the Rev Mike Davies returned from southern India earlier this year, working mainly within the small village of Purushothapuram.

The pair were invited to India by Pastor Mases Anantharapu, who operates an orphanage in the village. Pastor Moses sought to seek help from the UK for help with basic facilities.

Working in high temperatures, the pair stayed in rudimentary housing with no running water or air conditioning, and limited electricity.

The duo will talk in the Charter Hall from 7,30pm with the aim of seeing what Okehampton can do to help the poverty-stricken area and the village's childrens home.
