KELLY House is hosting a month-long event in support of the armed forces disability charity Walking With The Wounded.

The Grade 1 listed Georgian country house near Lifton will be the venue for a display of glass artworks designed and exquisitely hand-built by owner Warin Kelly. A glass artist for more than a three decades, the former architect is pleased to be able to help the charity while indulging his own passion.

‘I have wanted to do something like this for many years.’ Warin explained.  ‘The opportunity to use these skills to help those who have served us with such sacrifice is something we need to grasp and make the most of.’

A number of artworks will be presented in the beautiful natural light of the gardens at Kelly, among the formal flowerbeds and convenient resting places, for visitors to find and enjoy at their own pace.

The gardens will be open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in June from 11am to 4pm. See the forthcoming events advert on page 17 of the June 9 edition for more information.
