WORKSHOPS for children, a chance to be an amateur archaeologist and the launch of the BBC history project 'Turn Back in Time' — it's all happening at an open day at the Museum of Dartmoor Life in Okehampton on October 30.

Admission is free to the open day, which runs from 10.30am to 4pm and its being described as a day of fun and discovery for all.

There will be charity Christmas cards on sale and the event is supporting Children In Need and the Puzzle Tree Centre in Okehampton as well as the museum.
