THE 2011/12 season started with the Bill Fogerty Trophy.

In the first match Bridestowe were at home to Okehampon A. Nick Jackson beat Francis Griffiths to put Okehampton one up. Bridestowe went 2-1 ahead, Mark Tancock beat Barry Denner and Phil Down did well to beat Barry Vaughan. Then Okehampton A stepped up a gear, winning the next 6 for a convincing 7-2 win.

In the next, Tavistock A beat the new division two team Okehampton C 9-0, Tavistock team Fred Phillips, Roger Bowkett and Martin Fowler. Okehampton C team were Richard Rose, Martin Rose and I Copley.

North Wyke played the new division two team Horrabridge, North Wyke winning 9-0. North Wyke team were Jill Dilley, Paulo Dumont and Stewart Grange. Horrabridge team were David Northy, Gill Northy and Chloe Greenaway.

The Mixtures (Okehampton) were at home to Anchorage, Mixtures were Karen Stephenson, Sarah Jackson and Steve Tyler, and Anchorage were Roger Gilbert, Colin Jones and David Wilson. The Mixtures raced into a 3-0 lead. Karen S beat Roger G, Sarah Jackson beat Colin J, and Steve T beat David Wilson. Roger pulled one back beating Sarah to make it 3-1. The Mixtures won the next 2 for a 5-1 lead. David Wilson beat Sarah, Colin Jones beat Karen Stevenson.

Okehampton B were home to new team Milton Abbot B. Okehampton B team of Dic Randell, Harry Bryant and Keiran Coyle. Milton Abbot B - Rob Evans, Ben Evans and Harry Barnaby. Although Okehampton B won 9-0 there were tight matches. Ben Evans just lost to Harry Bryant 21-18, 22-20 and Harry Barnaby took Keiran Coyle to a 3-leg decider, just loosing 19-21, 21-16, 21-14.

In the last match Milton Abbot were at home to Academy who proved too strong for Milton Abbot, who went down 1-8 with Ian Osborne saving the Whitewash beating Wayne Pearce 21-11, 21-15. The team for Milton Abbot Ian Osborne, Tim Westcott and Hardy Hopkinson, and Academy, Tom Pearce, Ben Hill and Wayne Pearce.
