Okehampton based, award-winning sculptor, Nick Mackman, has teamed up with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) to help support wildlife conservation as part of the charity’s Week of Wildlife Art at the Mall Galleries, London SW1.

Two original bronze (in limited editions) and six original ceramic pieces are available to buy online now or at the London gallery until Saturday, July 2.

Her animal sculptures have found homes with, amongst others, John Cleese, Dame Judi Dench, Chris Packham, David Shepherd and Viscountess Serena Linley. She has been commissioned by British Airways and the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. Her work is held in numerous private collections and is sold all over the world.

Nick, who was named the charity’s Wildlife Artist of Year in 2015, said: ‘It is always a privilege to be able to contribute to such a fantastic exhibition that not only celebrates wildlife art but also raises much needed funds to help conserve the animals we all cherish.

‘The incredible diversity and beauty of the animal kingdom is a constant source of inspiration for me. I have a great affection for warthogs, who are some of Africa’s most engaging beasts, so I was delighted to win the competition with my warthog sculptures in 2015.’

Nick’s menagerie for 2016 includes her much-loved warthogs, painted dogs, a moon bear, elephants and a tiger.

Nick’s work forms part of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s annual Week of Wildlife Art that features the Wildlife Artist of the Year shortlist and guest artists, wildlife photographer Andy Skillen and children’s illustrator Catherine Rayner. All sales support endangered wildlife.
