Bridgwater D 0

IN the first league game of the season the home side looked dominate right from the start with midfielders Luke Miller, Jake Lloyd and Darren Reed controlling the play and wingers Will Cooper and man of the match Adam Cockanye providing the width.

After a few early short corners and a thunderous reverse hit from Josh Balsdon only to see it hit the crossbar, Okehampton's Lloyd and Miller combined to break the deadlock from a short corner. Lloyd then turned provider for Miller before Josh Balsdon scored his first of nine in the match.

Further goals from Reed, Miller, Cockanye and another three from Balsdon made the score the 8-0 at half time.

In the second half Okehampton carried on their goal spree with Balsdon getting another six, Cockanye doubling his tally, Miller completing his hat-trick and Will Cooper scoring his first goal for the club. There was a final flurry from Bridgwater but good defending from Luke Liversidge, Tim Morgan, Will Spry and captain Ian Miller prevented keeper Pete Sim from making a single save in the entire match. This was one of Okehampton's biggest ever score lines.
