EVERYONE at Room 13 on Friday night was in high spirits as Okehampton United Charity celebrated their long-standing links with the centre.
Representatives from the charity visited the youth centre on St James' Street to see first-hand some of the work carried out there.
The charity has provided the facility with help for the last eight years, with contributions to the centre's rent, and funding for additional weekend sessions.
The charity donated a cheque for £24,820 to the centre during the visit.
The centre is open to all young people aged 13 to 19. Qualified youth workers give advice, and it provides a friendly and safe place for teenagers to meet friends and make new ones.
