OKEHAMPTON U14s travelled to Northam on Sunday play against Bideford Blues. The visitors knew it would be a tough game against a very physical side, and adjusted their game accordingly showing huge determination.
Making a strong start Okehampton created a two goal cushion from Ryan Barber and Jonnie Stenbury, only to be pegged back to 2-2 at half time.
Their tireless battling continued after the break, Okehampton also remained strong with two further goals from Lewis Minto following determined and accurate passing from defence.
With ten minutes to go, Bideford lead 5-4, but with two minutes remaining, an Oke corner was sent thumped home by Eddie Packer to give a thoroughly well deserved point against a huge under 14 side.
Great battling by Kyler Burne summed up an encouraging team performance to take into next Sunday's plate final up at North Molton, kick-off at 11am.
