Okehampton did itself proud on Carnival Day last Saturday (October 19) with floats and walkers in costume showing off many hours of work.

There were more than 100 children taking part in the afternoon procession and some 20 shops put their all into the ‘best decorated window’ competition.

This was followed by the evening procession after dark, with the best float overall won by the Bolt family and friends with Down Memory Lane in memory of Kath Bolt.
