BETWEEN 5pm and 8am overnight on January 5 and 6, two hairdressers in Okehampton were broken into and a large quantity of styling products and equipment were stolen. JO/10/10 or JO/10/11

l A Mercedes van was attacked in Lydford, but no property was stolen. The incident was one of several which have been reported in West Devon recently.

Sgt Dave Anning said: 'Statistically this sort of offence is likely to be committed by a car containing several young men. They are offending at night in isolated locations. Please call us if you see such a vehicle hanging around other vehicles, or if you have an idea who is responsible.'
