AN Okehampton pub recently shut its doors and has been put up for sale.

The Plymouth Inn has been closed and new owners for the building are being sought.

The pub and restaurant establishment, situated on West Street, was put up for sale due to ill health, according to an online property website.

The chair of Okehampton Chamber of Trade, Linda Harper, said: ‘The Plymouth Inn was not a part of the chamber but we are aware the reason they have closed is due to poor health.’

The owner of The Plymouth Inn was unavailable for comment at this time.
