Okehampton U16s 61
South Molton U16s 0
FOR this league game South Molton could only bring 14 players which meant that Okehampton also fielded just 14.
However, it did not affect their game with some impressive free flowing rugby. This allowed the Oke wingers to run fairly unopposed along the line. The first try was scored by Deane Andrew who scored wide out . This was closely followed by his second try, converted by Liam Wilkins. Deane also scored another two tries in the first half while Luke Dennis scored the third try with a good run through the middle.
Will Copp jinxing run, evading tackles, added another try to make it 40-0 to Okehampton at the end of the first half.
The second half started with more continued pressure and Josh Bush running through from a ruck in the centre skipping through tackles to score under the posts. With pressure from the forwards Steven Paul scored, then the last try of the match was scored by Will, scoring his second. Liam converted eight out of nine attempts.
Due to the rules of the league, with Okehampton winning by such a big margin, the game only lasted 35 minutes.
Despite the dominance shown by Oke, South Molton are congratulated for their team spirit.
