NORTHLEW Silver Band is still on the lookout for photographs of the band in the lead up to their centenary celebrations on June 25.
The band was formed in 1911 and to celebrate its hundredth birthday, there will be a hog roast and an afternoon of fun for all ages in the Northlew playing field, or the Victory Hall in the event of poor weather.
The band is inviting neighbouring bands to join in the afternoon of music and perform. The event starts at 2.30pm and is free to attend.
An appeal has been made for anyone with photographs of the band at different events in and around the village throughout their history to lend them for an exhibition to be mounted on the same day.
Anyone with enquiries and offers of assistance please call Martin Perry, chairman, on 01409 221376.
