AN opportunity for over 50s to relax, socialise and enjoy a friendly cup of tea will be available for residents next month.

The Time for Life team are inviting anyone over 50 to a drop-in coffee morning where they can chat, have a go at playing with a Wii game machine or share other activities.

The Time for Life team would also like to hear about any ideas for new activities which could be started up in the Okehampton area.

Everyone is welcome, including carers and anyone interested in being involved in new activities for older people.

Time for Life is a project run by Age Concern and offers a free mentoring service that assists people 50 and over to build confidence, remain active and independent.

The drop-in coffee morning is on Tuesday, November 3 between 10.30am and 12 noon at Fairplace Church's Gratton Room.
