AUCTIONEERS Rendells report strong interest for 9.86 acres of pasture at Bughead Cross near Moretonhampstead, sold by auction at the sports pavilion in Chagford on Monday.

Bidding started at £50,000 and rose progressively until it was sold for £70,000 (£7,099/acre) to Mr T Wotton, a local farmer.
