YOUR readers will no doubt be amazed to learn that all the Lib Dems MEPs voted last week in Strasbourg, calling for the European Union to take a seat on the United Nation's Security Council

This would lead to a diminution of Britain's voice on the global stage and is an insult to the sacrifice of our WWII heroes who helped us win it.

It has become increasingly clear that the EU wants to take a UN Security Council seat, either as an additional member or taking over the seats of France and the UK together.

The Lib Dems have become so enthralled to EU integration that they are now cheer-leading the loss of British influence. This is a disgraceful betrayal which in the long-term can only weaken British foreign policy. The British people deserve something better than this latest move.
