LAKESIDE Café at Roadford Lake had a full house for the prize giving ceremony of the South West Lakes Trust tenth anniversary photo competition last Saturday.
Entrants and friends of the Trust were invited for a complimentary cream tea and to enjoy the photographs displayed in the café.
Monica Read, trustee of South West Lakes Trust and customer relations director of South West Water opened the exhibition and presented the prizes to the talented entrants.
Monica said: 'The judging panel of the trust had a challenging task voting on the best images, there were over a hundred excellent images to choose from. The atmospheric, often exciting images show the varied nature of our lakes.'
The photo competition was held from May 1 to August 31as part of the ten year anniversary celebration and the images reflect a wide range of interest in the Lakes: conservation, fishing, bird and nature watching, watersports, walking and the tranquil beauty of the Lakes.
The exhibition comprises more than 20 images and can be viewed until the end of January.
The youngest entry was from Chloe Northey, seven years old who was awarded with a taster session.
