OKEHAMPTON Library is providing a whole host of fun and festive activities throughout December, including a special Christmas story and craft event for children.

The free event welcomes children under five, along with their parents or carers, to take part in numerous craft activities as well as a Christmas story reading.

The event will be held on Wednesday, December 3 from 11am until noon at Okehampton Library.

Throughout the month of December children of Okehampton are invited to look for eight magical elves that are hidden in the library. There will be Christmas treats, provided by the library, for the children who manage to find all of the missing elves.

Also, during opening hours from December 19 until Christmas Eve, the library is planning to set up a festive activity table for children and their carers.

Staff at Okehampton Library have plenty of other activities up their sleeve, including a Christmas quiz and Christmas draw.
