ON November 21 or 22, a quantity of wood was taken from outside one of the cottages in Lydford. The wood was placed there for the use of the householder. The wood is mainly holly and ash – if anyone knows who has taken this wood please contact PC Kevin Reed. The crime number is JT/09/1403.
l A car was broken into on Burrator Road at Dousland between 11am to 12.30pm on November 21.
The driver's window was smashed and thieves searched the boot – police believe they may have watched the driver putting goods in the boot. A sports bag and a purse and contents were stolen, along with a cuddly elk!
The owner saw a grey or silver estate car pull up next to the damaged car – anyone with any more details is asked to contact PC Dave Pickles.
Local drivers are being asked to keep an eye out for this car and for a small blue Peugeot.
If you see either car and have any suspicions, please take the registration number and pass it to Tavistock police.
