THE Devon German Shepherd Dog Rescue charity held a companion dog show at Simmons Park, Okehampton, in conjunction with the Rotary Club May Fayre. A spokesperson from the charity expressed thanks to everyone who supported the show and to Roger for judging the show at short notice. A grand total of £465 was raised. Winners of the four pedigree classes were: AV Puppy (6 to 12 months), Darcy, Jan Bayliss; AV sporting and best in show, Ace, Marilyn Osman; AV non sporting and reserve best in show, Dulcea, Alison Ransom; AV open, Logan, Marilyn Osman. The winners of the ten novelty classes were: crossbreed and best in show, Jake, Terri Andrews; veteran, Tully, Alison Ransom; rescued/rehomed, Dude, Sarah Paul; long coat and reserve best in show, Tully, Alison Ransom; short coat, Dude, Sarah Paul; appealing eyes, Tulah, Jo Claxton; handsome male, Toby, Sally Payne; prettiest female, Fedella, Rachel Chamness; best movement, Treacle, Brenda Randle; dog judge would take home, Tulah, Marcus Reed.
