THE pool at Parkland Leisure Centre in Okehampton has been closed until further notice due to technical problems.

The flooring in the shallow end of the pool has broken and due to health and safety reasons the whole pool has been shut until the problem is resolved.

A Parkland Leisure Centre spokesperson said: ’The flooring at the shallow end of the pool has broken and are we not 100 per cent sure yet how long this will take to be fixed.

’We are working as quickly as we can to resolve the issues and we apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.’
