SUPPORTERS of an auction of promises held on March 23 at Crossways Inn, Folly Gate, raised funds for the Down Syndrome Association and Exeter and East Devon Syndrome Supporters' Group.

Hayley Wilkins, for the supporters' group, helped to raise awareness and funds for the charity after she noticed a lack of local events for the charity.

Ms Wilkins was inspired to do so by her little brother, Kieran Wilkins, who has Down Syndrome.

Aaron Wilkins had a leg waxing to raise funds during the event — pictured.

Tracy Stanley from Beautylashous did the waxing and Andrew Varney was the auctioneer.

Promises included window cleaning, airport and train transfers, gardening, caravan breaks, football tickets, cinema tickets, theme parks etc.

Through the auction, supporters raised £2,484 for the charity.
