THE Save our Hospital Services campaign group will be holding a public meeting in Winkleigh tomorrow (Friday, January 20).

The meeting is an opportunity for people to come along and express their views on government proposals to cut acute hospital services across Devon.

Phil Griffiths, one of the organisers of the public meeting, said: ‘Under current plans, acute services at North Devon District Hospital are under serious threat. Maternity, Paediatrics, Neonatal, A and E and Stroke could all be downgraded or cut completely.

‘This is a meeting not to be missed. It may be too late to have your say once these services are taken away.’

The meeting, chaired Torridge District councillor Betty Boundy, will start at 7pm in the Winkleigh Village Hall.
