CHILDREN at Boasley Cross Primary enjoyed a visit from Pastor John Ephraim last Friday, finding out how their fundraising has improved the lives of Ugandan school children.

The primary school has been linked with Living Hope School in Uganda after a former Boasley Cross pupil volunteered at the school.

Pupils have held a number of fundraising events to support the work of Living Hope School, and Pastor John told them how the money they raised is being spent.

Their efforts have paid for the classroom floor to be concreted, for desks to work on and a saucepan to cook porridge for the children.

Pastor John is pictured with headteacher Alison Ewen and pupils from the School Council.
