VARIOUS representatives of the North Tawton community joined the town's Ladies' Royal British Legion branch on Saturday to celebrate the group's 90th anniversary.
The celebration started with a service in St Peter's Church and was followed by a tasty tea party in the town hall.
Secretary Monica Simmons said: 'We had quite a few guests — more than 100. There were representatives from the fire service, the town council, the guides, brownies and other organisations. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
'We also had the Devon County Ladies' RBL president Mrs Stevens come along to present a certificate to our oldest member, Mrs Enid Westlake.'
Guests were able to enjoy a special cake made for the celebration and could view a display of photographs taken of the group and their activities from over the nine decades.
Mrs Simmons said the group is still going strong 90 years later, with 26 members, and is celebrating its 90th anniversary only two years after the North Tawton men's RBL.
She said the group was 'still running smoothly' and members have regular meetings, outings, speakers and dinners.
