OKEHAMPTON started strong playing good fluid hockey and scored the opening goal in the first ten minutes after good cross from Stuart Jarvis found Mark Parsons, who scored in typical fashion.
They went two up just moments later after Jarvis found Reinier Rademaker who made his return after a long standing back injury, scoring with a powerful strike.
Reinier turned provider to Jarvis with a simple touch in to score the third and Reinier got his second to make it 4-0 and the home side were cruising.
Conditions weren't helped with the snow falling and both teams had to adapt their playing styles. The game opened up with both teams having chances. Reinier unable to get his hatrick after some last ditch defending, Luke Miller and Nick Luxton combining well only to see Miller's shot go just wide and young Dan Rademaker making his Okehampton debut was unlucky not to get on to a deflection which his performance deserved a goal.
East Devon did manage to claw a couple of goals back late on, but the result was never in doubt.
l This week Okehampton A face Minehead B with a 1pm push off.
Mid Somerset B 4

THE match started with a slow pace and neither team could take control of the match for the first ten minutes until the more experienced Somerset side found a opening in the Okehampton back line to score.
The away team struggled to get in the game and Mid Somerset soon got a second five minutes later.
This finally acted as a wake up call for Oke who were unlucky not to get one back after some good work from Brett Lawson only to see his shot being denied by his own team-mate.
The second half saw marked improvement form the second team and managed to get one back after a goal mouth scrap Lawson got hold of the ball and showed good composure to claw one back.
Mid Somerset's two goal lead was restored just minutes later from a penalty flick which keeper Pete Sim was unlucky not to stop it and got a quick fire fourth after a mistake from Sim allowed a tame shot past him and into the net.
Okehampton finally got one back with Lawson getting onto a deflection to get his second near the end of the game but the home side held on for the win.
