RESIDENTS and visitors to Okehampton are being reminded of rolling road closures that will be in place in the town on Sunday (June 26), to enable the Mayors Civic Parade to be undertaken safely.

Market Street, Fore Street, East Street, Mill Road and Fairplace Terrace will be closed at varying times between 10am and 11.55am (approximately) to enable the safe passage of the parade to and from Fairplace Church, St James Street.

A temporary prohibition of parking on Mill Road will also be enforced from the junction with Fore Street and East Street to the junction with Simmons Way between 7am and noon.

Organisers have said many of those taking part are children so are asking people to be patient and respect that it is for their safety that these measures are in place.
