NORTH Tawton got off to a poor start in this encounter at Taw Meadow. They were slow out of the blocks and gave Old Plymothians and Mannamedians too much ball in the first half and allowed a lead to build up.

The second half was a lot better as North Tawton seemed to come alive and kept OPMs at bay. The home side's scorers were Steve King with a try and Jack Phare with a conversion and a penalty.

Unfortunately Tawton got two yellow cards at the same time followed by a red for a second yellow card offence. This severely dented their prospects of a home win, but on a positive note this was a debut game for William Lethbridge who came on and had some time on the ball.

The club would like to thank all those who supported their Bonfire Night and fireworks on the Friday. They were treated to a spectacular display again on a perfect evening.
