STUDENTS at Shebbear College have access to new data logging equipment in science lessons, thanks to the Friends of Shebbear College.

The group has purchased equipment for the college's physics department. The equipment comprises a data logger with sensors to measure force, timing, acceleration, voltage, current, temperature, position and velocity.

The sensors link to the classroom whiteboard via an iPad which enables larger groups to see results and graphs being generated as they do class experiments.

Data logging and the use of modern technologies is a crucial part of physics and undertaking investigations across all age ranges, with the aid of this technology enables greater access to ideas and a deeper understanding of concepts.
