A LONGSTANDING employee of Parklands Leisure Centre has been recognised for his loyalty and dedication with a special award.
Dave Dennis started working at Parklands in 1998, and has more than 15 years of service on his West Devon contract in a number of different roles. He has been teaching swimming for 12 years, and has inspired a number of Level 1 and 2 swim teachers to learn how to coach.
Jon Smith, contract manager at Parklands, said: 'At Parklands, we feel so honoured to have Dave as an employee that we knew he needed recognition for all of his loyalty and hard work. We felt that the award was well deserved and appropriate for the ambition and time Dave has put into the business.'
Dave said: 'I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Parklands, which I think is pretty obvious from the time I have spent here. It has been fantastic to be in the role and watch the company develop and expand as I have.
'I have been truly touched by all of the support and training I have received from the company and now I feel it is my duty to pass on my enthusiasm and experience to other employees and gym members.'
