WITH reference to last week’s letters.
1. If the Alexander centre is no use as an old folks’ rest centre, what of the old job centre, close to the old rest room with disabled access already.
Am I right to think there was a lift available there? In which case it would be a delicious irony if Mr Cox was persuaded to locate his constituency office there as well to share the costs.
2. Rather than steam power for a reinstated railway from Dousland to Princetown why not use Dartmoor ponies?
3. Christmas lights. They were I thought unlucky to keep up after Twelfth Nght.
To help spread the cost of taking them down (in good time) how about sharing the costs of hiring a cherry picker and workforce to power hose (above Alistair Kinsey?) dirty buildings and unblock gutters and drains (Barclays Bank among many others) where the water will be doing gradual structural damage to buildings apart from drenching pedestrians.
