LAST Thursday saw the third event of the Okehampton Cycling Club summer time trial series.
On a dry evening 16 riders turned up from around the area to ride the 10 mile course which traces the old A30 road from Bridestowe to Lewdown and back.
The fair weather helped produce some excellent times with six riders recording new personal best times for the course.
Okehampton resident Steve Sage (Southfork Racing) once again stamped his authority on the event and continued his rich vein of form to register an impressive new course record of 24.12 minutes beating the old record which he also held by 18 seconds. He was fastest by a wide margin and was followed by Adrian Littleton (One and All CC) on 26.55.
Results: S Sage 24.12 (personal best); A Littlejohn 26.55 PB; M Cory 27.30; A Retter 27.40; A Stokes 28.16; T Mitchell 28.32 PB; B Kirkwin 28.39; J Fabrizio 28.40; E Adkin 29.27 PB; P Branfield 29.42; J Rice 30.01; S Perrett 30.05; M Coleman 31.56; A Crighton 32.45; E Attfield 34.23PB; P Jarman 36.51PB.
