ON Thursday morning I was taking my grandaughter to school. We stopped to cross at the controlled crossing at the Co-op, the light was red and a car drove straight through it.

This morning (Tuesday) there was a lady crossing at the zebra crossing at Waitrose with her child when a car drove across while she was on the crossing!

These are not the only incidents like this I have seen. At this time in the morning it is very busy with children going to school. Will it take a child to be knocked down before this problem is addressed?

There is also a high population of elderly people in Okehampton. We need to know that it is safe for them to use these crossings as well.
