A STRAWBERRY tea held to celebrate Anna Watts' first birthday was used as a chance to raise money for Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital's neonatal unit. On Saturday, July 12 the Watts family of Okehampton hosted the strawberry tea event at the start of the Granite Way cycle path. The event, held on Anna's first birthday, was to thank the neonatal unit. When she was born, Anna's condition was critical and she spent two weeks being cared for in the unit. The strawberry tea proved a big success, raising £436.61 for the unit. Donations received beforehand brought the total amount to more than £1,000. James and Louise Watts expressed their thanks to everyone who supported their cause.
