Okehampton U15s 31

Newport U15s 14

FOR the first 10 minutes Okehampton found it hard to break out of their own half. When they did it was Luke Dennis  who ran through to cross the line which was converted by Liam Wilkins. More pressure which resulted in Dean Abrams scoring a try in the corner. A marvellous kick by Liam from just inside the touch line sent the ball dead centre through the posts for his second conversion. Luke then ran in his second try again converted by Liam. Newport rallied and scored a well deserved converted try before Dean Folland finished the first half with a try for Oke. The second half was an even tighter game. With some stout defending from both sides the score was restricted to an unconverted try by Matt for Okehampton and a converted try for the visitors. Newport put Okehampton under a lot more pressure and come close to scoring a few times to give the home side a good game.
