OKEHAMPTON Library has a host of events to keep children entertained during the summer holidays. During library opening hours there will be a drop in craft table for 'Yikes, it's a Yeti' — make and decorate your own yeti, today, tomorrow (Friday), finishing on Saturday, August 2; 'Menacing Medusa' — make your own Medusa's head and turn your enemies to stone, from Monday, August 4 to Saturday, August 9; 'Magical Mermaids' — create and decorate your own magical mermaid, from Monday, August 11 to Saturday, August 16; 'Dreadful Dragons' — create and decorate a dreadful dragon and 'Sinister Spiders' — craft activity based on the mythical creature Anansi, from Monday, August 25 to Saturday, August 30. There is also a competition for children to find the Mythical Maze characters hidden around the library. Pick up an entry form at the counter and the first correct entry drawn on Friday, September 5 will win a £10 book token. l Friends of Okehampton Library will have tickets available during July and August for the Summer Fun Draw.
