THERE has been an encouraging response from Okehampton residents regarding a public meeting about cancer services in the town.

Devon cancer charity FORCE offers free advice, information, counselling, comple-mentary therapies and welfare and benefits guidance every Wednesday at Castle Ham Lodge.

On Tuesday, October 28 from 7pm, leading figures from the charity will be at All Saints Parish Hall in Market Street to deliver more information about the support available to anyone locally affected by the disease.

FORCE chief executive Meriel Fishwick will be at the meeting to talk about the work of the charity.
