THREE members of staff at Parklands Leisure Centre are taking part in a mammoth swimming challenge to raise money for charity.
Becky Munt, Nahdra Al Shawi and Kirsty Kiely are taking part in the Aspire Channel Swim Challenge to raise money for Aspire, a charity that helps people with spinal injuries.
The challenge invites people to visit their local pool and swim 22 miles over a twelve week period from September 10 to December 2.
In Parklands, that means swimming 1,416 lengths.
Jon Smith, contract manager at Parklands, said: 'We are really proud of Becky, Nahdra and Kirsty for taking part in the Aspire Swim Challenge.
'It's going to be a hard couple of months for them, but myself and the rest of the team are 100% behind them, and we'll be encouraging them throughout their challenge.'
To find out how you can sponsor them, call the centre on 01837 659154.
