I PAY my water bill quarterly, so my £50 rebate given by me, the taxpayer, to me after April 1 will be paid in instalments of £12.50.
However, South West Water receive an estimated £50-million plus, which they will make interest on, we will pay interest on this money as taxpayers, another loss. Secondly, charges go up on April 1, therefore, our £50 is eroded possibly by £10plus.
We were looking forward to some help to pay our additional winter fuel bills, now South West Water have put a wet blanket on that.
