WEST Devon Borough Councillors will visit the site of an application for 25 houses and flats in Spreyton — officers at last week's planning committee suggested they do so before making a decision on the development.
The proposal for the site on land to the north of Meadow Rise has sparked 35 letters of objection from residents and interested parties.
It is for the development of two, three and four-plus bedroom flats and houses, with 56 parking spaces and provision for 20 cycles.
The plans for the development also indicate possible new planting of trees and hedges to the site, which slopes down from the existing development of the village.
It is hoped members will get a thorough feel for the development in terms of layout and infrastructure when visiting the site, before making their final decision at next month's meeting in Hatherleigh Community Centre.
