JANIE Locke JP will be the guest speaker at this month's meeting of Okehampton U3A. Janie will be talking on the magistracy and her work in that profession. The meeting on July 31 also presents the first opportunity to greet Vic and Ann Mary Ware since assuming the roles of group chair and secretary. The meeting starts at 2.30pm in the Ockment Centre's garden room. U3A membership is open to all those who are either retired or semi-retired and the monthly meetings offer the chance to sample the U3A's company and learn of many local interest groups.
