OKEHAMPTON Friendly Circle held its latest meeting in the Charter Hall earlier this month.

The guest speaker was Peter Webb, who gave a talk about the trees of Devon. Drawing on his vast experience, Mr Webb discussed a wide range of trees from redwoods to oaks.

The meeting was also a chance to remember Joan Pauley, a long time member of the group who recently died, and say goodbye to retiring treasurer Jean Williams, who has held the position for eleven years.

The post is now being filled by Joyce Morgan.

The group will be holding their coffee morning this Saturday in the Charter Hall.
